01/27/2012 4:06 PM - ST. PAUL, MN (January 27, 2012) – The last time the St. Paul Saints put the fear in teams because of their prowess on the bases was in 2007. They swiped 150 bags and were caught just 22 times, led the league in steals and went to the American Association Championship Series. They may be on their way to that again after re-signing their stolen base leader from 2011, Adam Frost, and acquiring a guy who stole 49 bases last season, outfielder Sean Smith from the New Jersey Jackals for a player to be named later. The Saints also signed outfielder Jose Hernandez.

01/24/2012 3:23 PM - ST. PAUL, MN (January 24, 2012) – Bill Clinton was President. Microsoft introduced their first version of Windows, Windows NT 3.1. Pebbles Flintstone and Bam Bam Rubble wed. Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” topped the charts. And the current version of the St. Paul Saints played their first game at Midway Stadium. The year was 1993 and one of these is about to celebrate a huge milestone. The St. Paul Saints defied all the odds and will celebrate their 20th season in 2012.

01/23/2012 3:59 PM - ST. PAUL, MN (January 23, 2012) – When 2011 began Alberto Rolon wasn’t even in the St. Paul Saints starting rotation. By the time the season ended he was their most dominant starter. Saints manager George Tsamis re-signed Rolon along with catcher Alex Garabedian for the 2012 season.

ST. PAUL, MN (January 17, 2012) – It’s early in the ballgame, but the St. Paul Saints received some good news on Tuesday when Governor Dayton announced that the Regional Ballpark in Lowertown was included in his proposed 2012 state bonding bill.

01/13/2012 10:40 AM - ST. PAUL, MN (January 13, 2012) – It proved to be one of the biggest trades St. Paul Saints manager George Tsamis made in 2011 acquiring Ryan Patterson who helped the club get to the American Association playoffs and eventually to the championship series. The free agent outfielder won’t be rejoining the Saints in 2012, however, as he signed with the Miami Marlins organization.
