St. Paul Saints Internships (May-August 2012)
The Saint Paul Saints, members of the American Association of Independent Baseball, are currently accepting applications for internship in 2012.
Each position is designed to provide interested and qualified candidates an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fun and hard working professional baseball environment. The hours and hard work are expected to make for an easy transition into working in professional sports or any industry.
- Winter Internship (January – August): This position will focus on the business of sports, providing the recipient with important experience in sponsorship and ticket sales, marketing, customer service and exposure to all other aspects of the operation during the off-season. We require a minimum 40 hours per week to perform this internship (50-80 hours per week in the summer). Internship is either for school credit or a small stipend.
- Summer Internship (May – August): The full-time summer internship will provide you with a tremendous understanding of all areas of the baseball operation as you assist with the execution of the Saints 19th season. Candidates must be willing to work long hours when the team is at home and on the road for the entire summer (between 60-80 hours per week – this is not an exaggeration). Applicants must not have another job and priority is given to graduating seniors. Internship either for school credit or a small stipend. Housing is not provided.
The summer internships provide experience in the areas listed below. While there is no guarantee that an internship will be available within your specific area of interest, you will have the opportunity to learn about all of these areas of the operation.

Please note: The St. Paul Saints do not offer any internships in player development, scouting, player operations, athletic training or anything else related to the baseball activities of the organization.
- Game Day Internship (May – August): Game day interns should be creative and outgoing people who are willing to have fun and aren't afraid to laugh at themselves. This internship provides a first-hand look at the execution of promotions and customer service initiatives. Candidates will work to perform game day tasks including on-field promotions, sponsorship fulfillment, staffing of the Saints Kids Zone, crowd interaction and other activities. Internship is unpaid yet you may receive credit if applicable to your school’s program.
The Saint Paul Saints are a member of the Goldklang Group (www.goldklanggroup.com) which operates the Charleston RiverDogs, Fort Myers Miracle, and Hudson Valley Renegades.

Saints Sports Academy Internship (November 2011-April 2012):
Saints Sports Academy - Lakeville, MN
The Saint Paul Saints, members of the American Association of Independent Baseball, are currently accepting applications for the position “Saints Sports Academy Intern.” The SSA fall internship will run from November 2011 through April 2012.
The position is designed to provide interested and qualified candidates an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fun and hard working sports and recreation environment. The hours and hard work are expected to make for an easy transition into working in the sports and recreation industries.
The internship will provide you with a strong understanding of the operation of a sports and recreation facility with a focus on extending the Saints brand in the South Metro Area. Candidates must be willing to work flexible hours at the Academy in Lakeville, MN (Minimum of 30 hours per week required). Internship is unpaid and may be performed for school credit.
The Saints Sports Academy is a state-of-the-art indoor facility in Lakeville, Minnesota. The Academy provides athletic training and development in a variety of sports including baseball, softball, football, soccer and explosive training. Lessons and clinics are available to members and nonmembers in one-on-one and group settings and feature instructors with playing and/or coaching experience at the professional or collegiate level. Academy memberships are available in one-year, six-month or one-month increments for players desiring time for self-directed workouts in the batting cages, unlimited access to the cardio room and weight room, and include a discount on lessons and clinics. The Academy's 15,000 sq. ft. fieldhouse is equipped with field turf for optimal indoor training. The fieldhouse may be rented for team/league tryouts, practices, birthday parties or community events.
Candidates must be creative and outgoing with the ability to provide outstanding customer service. Academy interns will play an integral role in the Academy’s success, contributing to the following areas: marketing, sales, administrative, customer service, programming and scheduling.
